Topic addressed: Opposing the Catholic Retreat Center.
 

Discussed the action to be taken to oppose the Catholic Retreat Center rezoning application.
 
Actions should include:
    1. letters to the Jeffco County Commissioners, Jeffco Sherriff and Elk Creek Fire Department Chief.
    2. petition from DR property owners
    3. newspaper advertisements
    4. attendance at 25 October meeting of Jeffco Board of County Commissioners
 
Ms. Hite and Mr. Williams met with ECFS Chief discussing the impact of campfires on our neighborhood and his objection to the rezoning proposal.
 
Ms. Hite has been in touch with Brian Moss, a tv investigative reporter, to walk the property and possibly do a story on the project.
 
An email will be sent to all Douglass Ranch Property Owners spelling out our proposals and asking for any objections before moving forward with them.
 
The Board suggested changes to a “Call to Action” letter created by Ms. Hite.
 
A motion was unamiously approved to deposit only $4,500 into the road reserve fund from CD to cover the costs of planned actions.
