Board of Directors Meeting Minutes

Topics addressed include:

Treasurer's Report
     A number of reports were presented and discussed, including

  • Financial status reports

  • 2013 Budget

  • Additional financial issues

Dog Accomodation

  • The board received a request for reasonable accommodation to permit a dog on a restricted lot.  Based on DR attorney's review and recommendation, this request was approved.


Proposal to Remove Dog Restriction on Lots 20 – 29

  • Douglass Ranch that CPW does not oppose removing the dog restriction on lots 20 - 29.The DR attorney reviewed a letter from Colorado Parks and Wildlife (CPW) informing 

  • Based on the CPW letter, the DR attorney advised that we can remove dog restrictions from our covenants and that it can be done by board action only.

  • The attorney’s recommended text was amended with respect to the DR invisible fence amendment.  The text will be amended to section 8.4 of the CC&R's and filed with Jefferson County.

Roads and Grounds

  • Meadowridge Lane is reported to be slippery since its share of sunlight is limited by the hillside to its south.  Sanding the road appears to not be a solution.

Road Plan Update

  • An update to the Road Plan will be worked.


HB 1237 – Requirement for HOA Records

  • The Board agreed to look into implementing House Bill 1237 as it relates to Douglass Ranch.

Request for neighborhood cable

  • A request to bring cable into Douglass Ranch was discussed.  Comcast will be contacted.
